Rustic Charm, Modern Amenities
|
There’s something about spending time in a log cabin. It’s as though the walls hold you in a gentle embrace, and your rhythm takes on a calm, relaxed pace.
|
At Skeena Cabin, the glass-pane wood fire provides warmth and ambience, and the kitchen comes fully equipped. The three-piece bathroom rounds out the modern conveniences, while the micro-hydro silently provides enough environmentally-friendly, renewable electricity to run small appliances.

Main Level
When you arrive, you’ll find the cabin warmed by a crackling fire if it's cool outside, or a fire ready to light later. We’ll also show you how to stoke and re-light the fire. There are two over-size armchairs and a loveseat in the living area, plus a romantic dining space that seats four. An intercom system gives you a communication line to contact us at any time, should you need assistance.
The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals. There is a propane range and oven, and the renewable electricity generated by the micro-hydro runs the fridge, the microwave, the coffee maker and the toaster. A mountain spring-fed creek supplies water to the cabin, and a UV-filter at the kitchen sink ensures safe drinking water. A three-piece bath, complete with claw-foot bathtub & shower, rounds out the main level.
Upstairs, two queen-size beds promise a comfortable night’s rest, while a flatscreen TV, along with a select collection of DVDs, provides entertainment. There is ample storage for personal items, as well as a small connected side-room with an antique writing desk, and extra single bed, and small sitting area.
Outdoors
The deck in front of the cabin features an over-size picnic table, a propane BBQ, and a beautiful view of Woodcock Mountain.

The private hot tub is available upon request – please give us 48 hours notice if you want to savour a soak under the stars. We use only pure, fresh mountain stream water to fill the hot tub – no chemicals! (See the Booking page for pricing details.)
|
Beyond the deck, the meadow that unfolds in front of the cabin is yours alone to enjoy. Behind the cabin you can hear the creek that powers the micro-hydro.
The privacy is unprecedented. |
Need to stay connected?
It's lovely to unplug during your time in the wilderness, but we understand that sometimes you need to stay connected. While we do not offer wi-fi at the cabin, we have installed a booster that provides cell service for our guests on the Bell, Telus and Rogers networks.
Wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow.
